Manager on the Global Physical Security team, you will be working
in a fast-paced environment and will have the opportunity to
develop and implement site security plans, conduct physical
security site assessments, provide relevant training to staff and
manage threat related matters with potential impact to Flexport's
staff, visitors, facilities and supply chain network.The Manager,
Global Physical Security will oversee and implement security
measures across Flexport locations on a global scale to ensure the
Global Physical Security team implements and maintains proper
protection measures for Flexport employees, assets and facilities.
Moreover, this position will be responsible for assisting the
Director of Global Physical Security in the enforcement of global
security policies, and drive program management for programs
assigned. These programs include the following, but are not limited
to: Office Security, Travel Security, Supply Chain Security,
Investigations, Crisis Management.You will:
- Conduct staff training in the areas of physical security
(travel security, office security, reporting security incidents,
etc.).
- Manage external security providers (physical security
integrators, guard service providers, etc.).
- Assist with implementing and managing an international travel
security program for employees in your assigned region (e.g.,
monitor threat environment, review and recommend proper protection
measures prior to travel, issue travel security alerts,
etc.).Security Management/Supply Chain Security:
- Implement proper plans and procedures to protect employees from
threats and acts of violence, harassment, and other activities that
may affect the security of employees and visitors at Flexport
facilities within your assigned region.
- Conduct remote and on-site physical security risk assessments
and audits, ensuring facilities have proper protective measures in
place meeting Flexport security standards, including Flexport's
partner network.
- Serve as the electronic security systems administrator for your
assigned region.Investigations:
- Conduct full case management of security incidents and
investigations in your assigned region(s), including supply chain
related matters, to include identifying root causes of incidents
(e.g., cargo theft) and recommendations on reducing future security
risks.
- Provide regular reports to senior management on security
incidents and outcomes of investigations.
- Create, track, and analyze metrics related to security
incidents, such as incident type/categories, root causes of
incidents, locations/hot spots, etc.Ticketing System Management:
- Manage the global physical security ticketing system, including
triaging, updating, responding to, and closing/resolving
tickets.
- Ensure timely resolution of security-related issues/tickets and
maintain accurate records/documentation for all such items.You
should have:
- 3-4 years experience in security management, or related field,
with a focus in corporate security.
- Experience providing staff training on various physical
security related topics.
- Physical security electronic security systems experience (e.g.,
physical security design for new office/warehouse builds,
electronic security system administration).
- Experience managing vendor contracts (guard services, security
integrators, etc.).
- Excellent investigative skills and experience conducting
physical security related investigations.
- Ability to enforce policies and programs related to global
physical security.
- Effective communication skills and the ability to work
collaboratively with various departments.
- An analytical mindset, with attention to detail and the ability
to dive deep to identify root causes and solve problems.
- 1-2 years recent experience monitoring the global threat
environment and managing an international travel security
program.
- 1-2 years supply chain security experience (e.g., warehouse
security, conducting supply chain investigations and identifying
root causes of cargo theft).
- Experience conducting security assessments and audits.
- Experience with incident/case management systems such as
